INTRODUCTION

Tony Pro could have been a professional heavyweight boxer in the 80’s and 90’s. With his immense power and aggressive boxing style he was not only an outstanding fighter but also strikingly handsome. Tony had the strength to compete against the heavyweight champions of his era. Tony could have been one of the greatest all-time fighters. One of Tony’s favorite professional Italian born Canadian boxer was Arturo “Thunder” Gatti.

But instead, Tony’s life spiraled into a world of crime. Since the late 70s, Tony has faced numerous arrests, ranging from burglarizing Kay Jewelers at King’s Plaza shopping mall in Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York on a quiet Sunday morning to being on the FBI’s radar 43 years later. He made headlines in the Daily News for incidents like the “King’s Plaza caper,” and the “Sea-Air Pursuit Nets 3 Youths,” which involved the pirating of a boat from a Mill Basin marina in Brooklyn, New York. In the early 90’s, he was alleged to be a hitman. In March 2020, he was implicated as a getaway driver in his latest crime.

This is a story about our turbulent love, secrets, and lies. It explores the guilt that arises from past relationships and the inability to be present for his children. It is a tale of a love gone wrong. If only we could have been enough for each other.
